Why do so many people think it’s a bad move for him to stay if he can’t even compete in any type of combine?? He won’t be cleared in time.

Do people really think the NFL is going to draft a guy in any round lower than the 4th, 3rd if he was really lucky, if they don’t know if he's able to perform again?

Even if he stays we don't know he will perform again. I think it’s obvious he has no choice but to return.

Would the Colts rather have Jacoby Brissett or Tua?

There's obviously enough film of him for them to make their assessments.

Tua isn’t Tua until we see him play.

So yeah I’m sure Jacoby unfortunately is the better choice until proven otherwise

Film from college can’t take snaps on sundays.

Tua may not be the same, move the same etc. He suffered a bad injury. Coaches, GM’s and owners are going to wanna see if he can be his old self.

To guarantee his return as having zero problems at this point would be a mistake.

I don't think you draft Tua expecting him to play immediately. You draft him based on his future promise.

Obviously every NFL team knows he's injured but, the potential ROI is too appealing to let him go.

You are right, a lot depends on how he can perform now. I’m sure he will still be really good. It’s his mobility that needs to be shown

You make some points but there were people (me included) that thought Kyler Murray was dumb for turning down MLB and that no GM would sign off on first round selection...and he was drafted 1 overall

Proves..that we (posters) arent NFL GMs Coaches and that the NFL is so QB driven that GMs Coaches will absolutely swing for the..parking lot ...beyond the fence if they think they have a potential franchise guy

He might fall to early second at the latest but you're fooling yourself if you don't think someone is gonna take the risk on him considering the long-term potential.

Tua doesn't need the combine to get drafted.

He won't fall past the Dolphins if he comes out.

If i'm Tua, the only reason I would come back is if there is a legit threat of him dropping late 1st or early 2nd because of the injury.

If I did come back and was him, I wouldn't play though. Use the year to rehab, they participate in next year's combine. There isn't anything left he needs to do on the field to prove he his a top draft pick.

Question: how do you "prove otherwise" if you don't draft the guy?
