That strategy would still require a dominant offensive line, no? The offensive line would be involved in each of those lines of thinking, regardless of the defensive setup.

No strategy works if you can't block anyone but not sure you need a 'dominant' one.

As an expert armchair QB, my criticism is that this leads to Gus' favorite way to mitigate OL failures, max protect w RB/HBack instead of running routes. If you say know Seth Williams's post route will be open, all you need is time which max protect can help with.



I personally would prefer for the RB becoming a check down option + HB running a route that stretches the D. If the defense blitzes, RB is the safety route while if they pressure with3- 4 and drop 7-8 in coverage on 3 routes we probably aren't completing a deep pass anyways
