4* DE Princely Umanmielen decommitted from Texas.

KN says Auburn is a factor. Added to the target list
I wonder who the staff likes better as a strongside end between him & Jay Hardy?

Article from Rivals on Princely

IN HIS OWN WORDS

On Texas: "I still have a great relationship with Coach (Oscar) Giles and Coach (Tom) Herman. They make sure to text me ... I probably haven't gone two days without one of them texting me. It's a great coach-player relationship. They don't try to be my friends or stuff. They're letting me know they've got a lot of defensive linemen leaving and things like that, so I can get there and play. The visits have been fun. It's more interactions with players and the players make me feel like I'm part of the team already."

On LSU: "I text Coach DJ (Dennis Johnson). I told him I didn't like how their defensive line just clashes the whole game, so we've been talking about going down there and playing some stand-up outside linebacker."

On Auburn: "They were a bit late (to offer), so I need to visit down there and see what it's like. I've been watching No. 3 (Marlon Davidson) and Derrick Brown, the defensive tackle. I've noticed how dominant they are on the defensive front. The head coach, Gus Malzahn, gives me a lot of calls and so does the recruiting coordinator (Marcus Woodson). I've been texting with the defensive line coach (Rodney Garner) here and there, too."

On Texas A&M: "They keep asking me to visit. It's the same for LSU and Auburn."

Rivals Reaction
At the moment, Umanmielen was open that Auburn was pushing the hardest for his commitment, which dates back to even before he backed off his commitment to Texas.

Texas A&M and LSU have both been major players in the four-star's recruitment dating back to the spring. He's made a ton of visits to College Station and has a fantastic relationship with defensive line coach Terry Price, but Umanmielen didn't have much to say about the Aggies in this particular interview. LSU is now after Umanmielen as an outside linebacker, which is certainly interesting because he is very much intrigued by that possibility.

However, the spotlight will be on Umanmielen and not if, but when he makes his first trip out to The Plains. I am wrestling with placing a FutureCast pick in for Auburn, but it's still too early, but a visit to campus will certainly be one to watch.

It's also worth noting that Texas had his commitment and he is still on high on his relationship with the coaches and current players such as Joseph Assai, DeGabriel Floyd and Byron Vaughns. Don't discount the Longhorns' chances of eventually landing the local product when he makes his next decision, which should come close to the Early Signing Period in December.
