bullshite

Best price I am seeing online is FIVE bucks

WTF State?

This is a decent P5 OOC game and a pretty decent team

I'm kind of shocked, almost thinking it may be worth the 2.5 hour drive from Bham

Having talked to people that work in hospitals in the area I can tell you that it was so bad that hospitals in the surrounding towns were treating fans for heat exhaustion and heat stroke that went to that game, and these weren’t cases of people drinking too much alcohol, just average John and Jane Public getting roasted alive.

TV contracts be damned, when the weather gets that hot it should be treated live a severe thunderstorm and postponed to a later hour especially if your concessions / gameday management isn’t prepared to handle the situation. There’s no sense in putting people at risk like that.

A/C has turned us into pussies that cant handle the heat anymore and it is sad.

My father used to remark air conditioning ruined the South and I never understood what he meant till the last few years.

You ain’t lying. Hell, I didn’t know what A’C was until I was 10 and even then we used it sparingly

Bet you played outside all day and were not bothered by the heat one little bit.

Recently the same school I attended that never had A/C while I was there shut down for a day due to....... the A/C being out, talk about a WTF moment.

Theres a little bit of personal responsibility here. Either condition yourself to tolerate being outdoors in your home state or stay home and watch it on Tv. If it’s an iffy proposition then at least monitor your condition and leave before it becomes a medical emergency.

I’ve been to the majority of home games for 30-years and that was in the Top 3 of being the hottest game I’ve attended.
It was miserable from the start. I have sold my tickets for the next two weeks. Game time in August or September should be 6 p.m or later. It’s ridiculously hot right now.

It did not sit well with our people and John Cohen literally called them out publicly over it lol. They knew it was gonna be hot as hell and had half a crew. Not all concession stands were even open.

I think that’s called a broken contract and I bet we are looking elsewhere.

AC is man's best friend.

On a serious note, what was the heat index?

This is physiologically somewhat correct. There is an acclamation phase of a few days your body has to go in to if it’s being put in a climate hotter than normal. Having AC distrupts this normal process. I wouldn’t say it’s so much of people being pussies but man made creature comforts disrupting our normal adaptive seasonal homeostasis.

I can’t imagine being the Aramark rep that had to have that conference call with Cohen. I bet John verbally abused that poor sob

I’ll let the big Bulldog boosters that live next door know that’s how their fellow State fans feel. The parents are older and like to go to every home game. One of them passed out from the heat.

FWIW-they said this was the worst game day experience they ever had and they would not go back to a day game in Starkville unless it was in November.

Heat doesn’t bother me, but it bothers a lot of people, including the older, the infirm and children. I guess we should not worry about scheduling in the Deep South and those people should just stay at home, right? That’s quite the enlightened position. But I wouldn’t expect less from a simple Bulldog.

Fair points. These temperatures seem like recipes for disasters.
