You can't postpone an 11:00 start. Hottest part of the day is 3:00.

In the spring I told this girl that worked for Aramark how much aramark sucked and she was an Ole Miss fan so maybe it is her fault. It was sabotage or some kind of revenge or something.

Sounds like we need to figure out something new. it is only a 4 hour event. How hard could it possibly be.

I am not fond of very high temperatures but I can function in them just fine; as long as I have something to drink. If the stadium is willing to let everyone bring in their camel pack of water then by all means shut down the concessions.

Otherwise packing tens of thousands of people in an over heated stadium with limited access to hydration is going to turn into a tragedy sooner rather than later.

Check out Six Pack Speak.

This was the second hottest game in Starkville since 1990. Gameday management was as bad as it was for that Saints game in Jackson a few years ago. Then Aramark screwed up so bad that the AD publicly torched them.

It was embarrassingly bad.

The game was a disaster. Aramark screwed the pooch. I left at halftime. It was hot, which I expected, but not being able to get water or anything from the concession stand was at least a 20-30 minute wait. I saw lots of people under the stadium suffering from heat exhaustion, old, young, middle aged, kids, just bad.

I told my wife we are not going back this weekend for the game. Being at 11 and the temps being the same, just not worth the time/money. And we have a free place to say, her parents are still in starkville, which is saying something.

I think it would be better for the games to be scheduled at different times so that all Bulldog fans—old, young, handicapped, able-bodied, fit, and fat—can attend and enjoy them. But keeping your body hydrated and stable is ultimately your responsibility. I wouldn’t expect a snarky stupid Rebel to grasp the nuance.

I don't expect a simple Bulldog to understand that the old, young and infirm, and the people with them, sometimes don't realize that they are suffering from heat issues as would someone who is more capable of handling the heat.

Even your fellow Bulldogs are saying it was a bad experience.

Yeah, it was pretty miserable inside the stadium, but I was actually surprised about the amount of fans that turned out to tailgate and watch the game for the first half. Student Section was surprisingly full at kickoff. We have to do a better job of accommodating fans this weekend.

For anyone wondering about our chances for our next two games, our guys are pretty conditioned to this and I highly doubt Kentucky or Kansas State will be. If you need help with your picks the next few weeks since they are both day games in Starkville

For anyone who isnt a complete dumbfrick like this guy, its been 95 plus here, and we had the same high heat issues for the Toledo opener, but played last Saturday's game v E Michigan at 7pm.

Mississippi isnt the only state with high heat and humidity dumbass.

The humidity was much worse down here than in Kentucky. But then I wouldn’t expect you to consider that.

Central KY sits in the "Cincinnati Bowl" where weather just sits and stews. Folks forget the closer you get to the coasts the more you get breezes. In central KY we get no offset at times and the humidity can be brutal. 100% humidity is fog not rain and in CKY it becomes a brownish haze.

Noon Tennessee game has me worried about this as well. People fall out left and right in the Swamp during noon games. It's absolutely brutal. UF does a decent job handling it but only so much you can do. Sucks cause it really does take away the crowd factor in the game because people are to busy trying not to die to cheer often.

I’ll tell you I have been to probably 100 MSU games in Starkville and it was the hottest I can remember and conditions weren’t helped by Aramark and security. At halft8me the students left (in the sun) and I bet 5 dozen came back.

I had friends that never left the tailgate. They said fans were blowing nothing but hot air.

Starkville is about 4 hours to the gulf

Lexington is a 9 to 12 hour drive to the coast, if not more

I see basic map reading is not your strong point

Most weather in the middle of the country goes west coast to east coast and it peters out by the time it hits the Mississippi River.

I missed Saturday's game because we were cutting the last of our corn and getting out of the fields on Saturday.

I got so dehydrated that I've been passing stones since Saturday. Sometimes the temps are just more than the human body is built to take. People who live in these climates don't work during the hottest parts of the day, that's how they survive.

I remember when I was a kid back in the 80s all the games were pretty much around 1:00 PM. Didn’t seem to be a big deal back then. Do I prefer it? No. Is it a life altering event? No.

Went this past Saturday. Me and 3 kids under the age of 10. Tailgated for a few hours, did the Dawg Walk, got into the stadium 30 minutes before kickoff, and stayed into the 4th quarter. My observations:

It was hot.

There are issues with our metal detector process. My opinion it has more to do with geography than management. They just need to add a bunch of detectors and lines at the north and south ends of the stadiums where it is open like at Bryant Denney to avoid bottlenecking it. That might disrupt some of the Junction tailgaters, but you can’t have everything just the way you want it.

Concessions had long lines. They let you bring in a water bottle and had filling stations set up so it wasn’t a big deal to me but I get the aggravation.

I’ll be there this Saturday and next Saturday too.
