First 3 possessions he looked like 88 Joe Montana. 7-8 for 89 yards and a TD. Also had a 60 yard reception called back on a holding.

Rest of the game he looked like 2015 Grayson Lambert. 8-15 for 64 yards.

Fromm was really locked in to start the game. The TD pass and then the bomb to Robertson were both ridiculous. After that he was sloppy and had shitty pocket presence and goofy footwork like the LSU game.

Fromm is still the man. In his defense Vandy was playing their safeties deep and just trying not to lose by a thousand. Fromm's performance was still disappointing tonight, however. His 30th career start and a crappy conference opponent. I guess I just expected more.

He placed the ball on the money. He allowed for the WRs to make plays and they didn’t.

I honestly think it’s a game plan issue

Yep. But the man may be overrated. With that offensive line and running backs, he should be able to dissect defenses anywhere on the field. A couple of weeks of practice games coming up and then we'll see how he looks when we get into the heart of the schedule.

I wouldn’t put too much stock into tonight’s game. It was a feeling out process type game and we still won 30-6. A lot of this shite was basic meh... we had no reason to press and score 50. If Kirby wanted to, he could though. I also think he and Mason are close friends and they both knew what each other had... not that it was a mutual agreement... but you could kinda tell that they both were just using this as a glorified scrimmage. As a side note: If Mason is fired at seasons end, it wouldn’t surprise me if he was hired here.

He’s still getting used to these receivers. It’s not normal for a third-year starter quarterback to be breaking in 4-5 new receiving targets and a new center.

Fromm’s the glue right now and that’s a different role for him from years past. I think he’ll grow through it, but Robertson and Pickens need to step up to become true reliable weapons.

Pickens needs to be our Holloman and Robertson needs to be our Hardman.

Most of the mistakes were not Fromms fault.

He did miss on the two endzone passes to Pickens.
And he had 2 balls tipped.

But any other issues on the offense tonight were not Fromm (Simmons dropped and didn't fight for a ball when fromm had to release it early. Robertson batted a ball down intended for the 5 yard line and another receiver. Jackson fumbled on the 5. Holding calls killed a long pass play and forced another drive to take a field goal.)

Fromm deserves some criticism. But I was disappointed in Simmons and Trey Hill as far as expectations on starters more than anyone.

Pruitt showed the template for Fromm last year. Stunts in the middle and blitzes from the corners. Jake hasn't gotten to the point where he can consistently make teams pay for that. And it seems like his ability to sidestep the rush and make a play has regressed since his freshman year. He'll see it all season long.

Why throw when you can hand it off and get 10 yards a carry

Smart:

Fromm “got a lot of looks, he got a lot of pressures, he got a lot of blitzes. He checked, as soon as he saw pressure to one side, he moved it. People don’t know what he did that was really really sound and put us in good football plays. Some of those explosive runs were because he knew where to put us.”

No sacks, no INTs.

The main concern, imo, are the defensive penalties that facilitated Vandy’s only points. That and the 2 fumbles. Otherwise, it was a good game for the first game of the season — a conference game — in someone else’s house.

Props to all our GA brethren who made the trip & took that stadium over. Recruits & potential recruits see our enthusiasm.
