Yea i've never thought Pate had that great of insight. He does stuff like this to justify his position and it makes no sense.

Working from home today and naturally watching Auburn hype videos in the background to kick off fall camp. Found this interesting nugget at the end of one of the videos:
“2019 Auburn Tigers return offensive personnel responsible for a combined 125 impact plays during their careers. This is tied for 3rd most since 2003. The previous teams with this many returning impact play, combined for a record of 35-3.”
Obviously TIFWIW, IMO, etc. wish I had more information on the stat. But if you think about Seth Williams, Schwartz, Shivers, Boobie, Stove, Hastings, and the big play possibility of Gatewood. That is a ton of offensive playmakers.
