I know some of you guys are young so I’ll show you how much ACL injuries and surgery has evolved.
In the 1996-97 season, Derek Anderson from Kentucky tore his AC L vs Auburn in mid-late January. He had surgery, and by the time the NCAA tourney came around...he was dressed and shot technical free throws for the team. He was still a lottery pick in 1997 and played 11 seasons in the NBA, but him getting hurt probably cost Kentucky a 3-peat.
So I think Chuma will be fine. He was becoming a star, I hate it ended like this.

Yeah Chuma ought to be good to go for the start of next year. This isn't tj for a pitcher.
