I do not know, I would think UA would have winning the SECW, beating AU and winning the SEC as a goal? Who knows, maybe Saban knew that the Committee would give him another Mulligan.

There you go trying to "think" again, SkyKing. 
Alabama's overriding goal EVERY year is the National Championship...and they've shown that it's not very unusual for them to accomplish it.
