Yea, they are going to turn down a scholarship to take a position with a semi-pro team making $250 a game.

Then we are in agreement.
Away from college, the market value for a kid is less than $250/game (because the 18 year old still has to beat out a 22 year old for the job).
A college who spends tens of thousands per year in direct benefits is infinitely better.
