Today on Sirius XM 84 ESPN College Sports Jason Horowitz and Ryan Leaf had a conversation about why SEC teams chant SEC SEC SEC like Alabama fans did in Sugar Bowl after UGA won, and then after the game.
Ryan Leaf got it, but said as a Washington State grad he would do the same for PAC 12 except for Washington. JH just didn't get it, then Mr. Danny Kannel came on and whined about the SEC for 10 minutes then had the guts to say that even though he didn't think the playoffs were done correctly he thought Alabama and Georgia were the two best teams.
I know as a graduate of Alabama I will always support any SEC Team playing out of conference foes in every sport.

I think its modern incarnation goes back to undefeated Auburn being left out of the BCS Title game in 2004.

Yep, every time the bile starts to rise in my throat because of a confrontation with a fan of another cnference team, I remember fans of the Louisvilles, Indianas, UCLAs, Kansases, Dukes and North Carolinas. That takes the edge off quickly.

Kannel is such an idiot, him and so many others don't understand the concept of the four best teams, not the four teams with the best record.

I actually heard this today, but you’ve got it all wrong.

Leaf said he’d NEVER root for UDub because they suck arse and then the other assbag said no teams have ever won a championship for a conference.

Then assbag came on and Ryan Leaf basically sucked him off because he’s Ryan Leaf and he’s used to sucking dudes off.

But yeah, you pretty much nailed it.

Ohio State is such a trashy fanbase. Jerseys everywhere and T shirts. Majority of their stadium every Saturday is non-alumni. Just an all around trashy program

The two best teams are playing in the national championship game. Clearly the system is broken!

At this point the SEC chant is as much about pissing off opposing teams/fans as it is about conference pride. It's just IRL trolling.

I mentioned this yesterday, if you want to have some fun with the people who post on ESPN all you have to do is go to an article on college football, any one will do, and simply type SEC! SEC!. You'll have folks going into convulsions in no time.

What do we have to do to get the SEC logo placed on the 25s Monday? Talk about an epic meltdown.
