Because he's an irrational Ole Miss homer and sanctions are tomorrow?

A BS article like this can possibly gain him some extra attention during the turnover of the football program tomorrow. The timing is right for it, and every OM fan there is would love for his fairytale to be true.

Follow the personal interest and the obvious is bright. You and WIO are getting dumber with time.

So what do you assume the endgame is for our AD by releasing a "completely false story" such as this the day before all of the findings come out?

If this story is false...and they know it's false....why do you think they would do this?

I'd rather not imagine a gob of anything when speaking about NIH.

a.) They've lied before

b.) Successfully tarnishing the NCAA investigation creates doubt about the legitimacy of the sanctions

Really? A Godfrey article. That Ole Miss fanboy is the only one ever to have mentioned this. Know your sources.

I don't think the AD pushed it. He got close to the truth, held it and talked shite while trying to close the loop, is publishing before NCAA hammer on too little, too late fashion in order to at least get some clicks from a failed attempt at investigative jornalism.

A failed attempt with MSU in his OM Homer crosshairs, nonetheless.

Man, 10 pages of density. Leo getting paid by MSU isn't the sexy part of this article. The sexy part of this article is that Leo mentioned talking with Mullen about the immunity interviews 3 months before he was granted immunity. The article isn't a bad look for MSU, it's a bad look for the NCAA and for Mullen.

And they did nothing when Cam’s dad sold him to the highest bidder. Just more examples that prove my point.

Untrue. The NCAA never looked into Bama due to the johnny-on-the-spot compliance staff who sold some cockamamy story after the fact to the NCAA that they sent a hand-delivered letter (with no stamp or any trace of postage on it...yeah, very credible) to disassociate themselves from the booster.

Due to the allegations against AU, we were subject to an exhaustive 13-month NCAA investigation, where no wrong doing was found.

If they peeled back the onion for 13-months over on TurdTown I'm pretty sure the results would not be the same.

This does not equal "receiving money from Mississippi state" this is "receiving money from an unaffiliated party to attend Mississippi state."

If no booster, alumni, coach or anyone in the administration had anything to do with it then you can't really punish msu.

What was the end game to mislead everyone about the majority of violations being on the previous staff? Misleading everyone while claiming most of the violations were on two other sports? Misleading the 16 recruiting class?

All the while it was obvious the truth would eventually come out?

Best explanation? He is an idiot. He does have three sports in trouble and hired a career position coach as head coach. He also paid more for him than MSU and it is clearly obvious MSU made a much better hire.

Do you really believe State didn't pay him?

First, I have no idea, but hell probably so.

Second, serious question. Why do you think we did? OM had already given him money and he was free to choose whatever school he wanted to attend. Do you think we had to pay him because others were bidding? Or are you trying to tell me you believe he actually wanted to go to Ole Miss?

I had to finish some work so I’ve missed a few pages but outside of yall thinking Godfrey is a bigger homer than Chuck, do you believe he carries the water for OM so much that he would put himself in front of several law suits if this weren’t true?
