For the record, I'm not sure they're being coached. I'd say it's more likely that Currie is clamping down on all leaks from within the AD. I think the local media guys have no information coming in and are just grasping at straws.

The former players getting fired up on social media last night got me pumped. They could be being fed bad info, or trolling the frick out of us.

The only ones I know for sure is not trolling are Haynesworth and Swain. Haynesworth is irl emotionally invested in this football program.

I'm irl close friends with several players that played between 2000-2004. None of them said anything to me yesterday, I'm gonna reach out to them sometime today to see if I can get some nugs.

I think you are right about this. My thing about it is though that Currie literally said "big, expensive, and explosive". What about Durking, Fleck, Norvell, Troy HC, Troy Calhoun(why does his name come up on every one of our coaching searches), Kyle Whittingham(same as Calhoun), etc. Some of these guys would definitely bring an "explosive" offense, but none of them come close to the "big" and/or "expensive" part of Currie's description. Personally, that's why I've never paid attention to them. Like someone said, these guys become serious candidates in February after at least 5 others have said no; and at that point I look to put all my TN gear on ebay for sale b/c we'll have entered a very dark time for TN football. That being said, if something falls through with Gruden, I don't think it gets past Patterson.
