A few pertinent quotes:

"If they fight, then we're going to get better, and we will get better."

"We're going to roll our sleeves up and get ready for next week."

"There were some bright spots, and we've got to build on those bright spots. We are going to get better," Malzahn said.

Malzahn also said...(Tuesday presser)

• Last weekend's game didn't sit well with his players.

"I could see disappointment. That's a good thing because we need to rebound."

Malzahn said in Sunday's practice "they had a good spirit about them, a good attitude, and they understand where we're at. They understand we need to get better, and they're ready to do that.

"When you go through adverse times, you find out exactly who's all in. That's something good moving forward. Our guys have been a close group, and now we're going through a little adversity, so we'll find out our true character. I really expect us to come together and get better."

I’d be disappointed too if I was asked to run that offense as called, or was having to keep going out there on defense after another uninspired 3 and out.

Second half Gus makes us look like an FCS team that is just trying to collect a paycheck and go home. No excitement, just tail tuck and hope for the best.
