But there are a load of untrue fans on the rant. Since they won't answer this question, let me ask you.

Why do you think Gruden would win at UT or in college in general seeing as how he has never coached/recruited, nor coached at all in several years? I'm genuinely wondering what the fascination is with him?

I don't consider the bold a concern. He's been heavily invested in the game, even if he's not coaching.

Now I will agree that it's possible he just comes in and hates recruiting and it doesn't work out. I don't think it's particularly likely, but I do have to acknowledge that is a possibility.

I think he's a very good coach that would likely put together a very good staff and field a very strong program on a consistent basis. There may be 'safer' hires, but I think his ceiling is higher than any other potential candidate.

I still don't think he'll take the job.
