This thread is going exactly as he planned.

A projection is not an opinion. Do I need to link the dictionary for you to prove it to you? I am simply listing a highly probable outcome based upon very strong evidence. There is no pre-knee land evidence to support your take on this, which is why there is No piss, no moan, no stamp from my feet. With that said, you do seem very bothered. Get over it.

I don't need anything more to support my statement. No Georgia running back has ever had the statistical season that Leonard Fournette had in 2015. This is not an estimate, it is not a projection and it is not an opinion. It is a fact.

Or unless Chubb has a subpar stretch of games, like last season.

"On this board" implies everyone posting here, and not just UGA fans. I didn't single out a single fanbase with that comment for a reason. I am sorry that you missed that.
There are plenty of things that happen *on this board* that don't have anything to do with multiple fan bases... Sorry that you failed to make your acknowledgement of LSU fan guilt clear. I don't see you applying any sort of rational filter to the routinely garbage posts from your own fanbase... Perhaps it's because I don't follow every thread here, but I read enough to know that you generally do the same thing you're calling the rest of this board "ridiculous" for... I suppose that could be seen as speaking volumes.

What you're applying to Fournette should, objectively, be applied to Chubb post-injury as well. You're not doing that so it speaks volumes, to be honest.
What did *I* specifically apply to Fournette? I disagreed with your definition of "non-factor"... Chubb was absolutely a factor in the game over ND. He wasn't our top performing back in terms of total rushing yardage, but he wasn't a liability either. I *was* critical of his performance in that game on our own boards, though I have neither the time nor the inclination to look for the post. IIRC what I stated was that he had too many plays where contact is being made at or behind the LOS... until we sorted that out from a blocking standpoint, he was going to continue to struggle relative to Sony who seemed to be more quick to cut up field and not try to wait patiently for blocks that seemingly never would come. Right on cue, he's done that in the games following... we're routinely told how the west is so much superior to the East and proceeded to have Chubb run for 5.5 YPC and 2 TDs against Miss State... we can only play who's on the schedule. Fortunately for the sake of this argument, we'll see at least 2 more common opponents to LSU this year in UF and AU.
Ultimately, I've not said anything negative about Fournette and I don't know enough about Guice to really have formed an opinion. He certainly hasn't looked to be "better than Fournette" on the occasions that I've watched, which we've routinely seen posted on these boards, but tough to gauge currently given his injury and the state of LSU offense.
If you want to continue grasping at straws though, be my guest.

I'd like you to list the games Fournette "disappeared" in starting in 2015. I'll address them one by one and we can compare them to Chubb's performances in losses and big games.
ETA: You can leave both Bama games out. We all know he didn't perform in either of those.
quote:
Chubb still ran for nearly 5 YPC, 74 total yards, and roughly 23% of our total offensive production in the game
We're going to use this as a reference for being effective, by the way.
I'm waiting for an answer to this. Once you give it we will compare to see who is grasping at straws.

I think Gurley will be good. But in the original post I responded too, he tried to make it sound like he is killing it. The truth is, he hasnt.
He had a great first 5 games to his career, then sucked for pretty much the next 21, and has looked good the first 5 this year.
False... if you look at the comment he was responding to:
quote:
Too bad when they get to the NFL they are complete shite
He simply responded with what was a reasonably appropriate level of sarcasm based on a ridiculous comment...

Sorry... have a job. I get paid a lot of money to pretend to work.
Will take a look at it later this evening possibly... I'm not sure what it is you're wanting to prove out. You'd like to exclude Bama for some reason... I wonder why?

I'd like to take the games you think Fournette didn't perform and compare them to subpar games for Chubb. I'm going to prove to you that he performed better than the the numbers you used for Chubb (against ND) in most of the games he was said to have "choked". At that point you will either admit you were wrong or you will shift the narrative. We shall see.
Also, I'm going to include both Alabama games I just don't need you to list them.
ETA: I'm already including both 2015 & 2016 Alabama games as well as the 2016 Florida game. I need you to tell me what other games you don't think he performed in to earn the rep he has gotten on this board.

Lol. Well, I don't know about that. But I know that we have a stable of RBs behind him if he does quit.

Yes, and have won shite with Chubb or that stable.

Gurley will likely be fine, while the Rams aren't anything special it was very clear that team quit completely on Jeff Fisher last year.
Moreno was solid but had multiple injury issues and was done before the age of 30.
Chubb would be a rookie in the NFL THIS season if he didn't have the nasty PCL injury. He can deny all he wants but he goes mid first round at worst if not for that injury. And that can't be turned down. Second round to third round will make you think about it, and that's where he would've gone if he declared last year.

No. Estimation (or estimating) is the process of finding an estimate, or approximation, which is a value that is usable for some purpose even if input data may be incomplete, uncertain, or unstable. The value is nonetheless usable because it is derived from the best information available.

That's been established, and the question became why? Why is that? It's because Chubb got hurt in knee land.

Estimating is guessing. Guessing is not factual. When something is not a fact, it is an opinion.

Oh look. You're repeating your guess again as though it's relevant. Solid.

Nowhere in the definition of estimation is the word guessing included. A guess is formed with little to no evidence, and we have 13 Chubb starts, which is a LOT of evidence.
If we have learned anything in this thread besides LF and you being lucky that Chubb got hurt in 2015, its that you really do struggle with basic definitions.

a rough calculation of the value, number, quantity, or extent of something.
"estimations of protein concentrations"

This is awkward......

Well, now it's even more awkward......
Now that we've established that an estimate, or projection, is just another word for "guess" it's time for you to go sit back in the corner.

Fournettes 2015 season was greatly inflated by the fact 43% of his yards came in 4 non conference games.
