It's not impossible, but it is impossible to ensure you make that tackle without getting your helmet involved.

A RB bending at the waist and leading with his helmet has eliminated any target above the waist without getting the helmet involved. So you either A: stick your head in there and make the tackle or B: dive for his feet.

I have no idea. It seems like if they decide there is no targeting, it's not even a foul. How about the late hit on Miami's QB yesterday that knocked his helmet off? They didn't even want to review that. I think it's just another way for the officials to be able to influence the outcome of a game.

It's not against the rules to get your helmet involved. You just can't lead with the crown of your helmet there.
