Fromm is 100% a gamer. The kid likes to win...has more poise and confidence then Eason.....

BUT

Eason has a very high ceiling and basing his performance of that first game and the few passes he threw is wrong.

Give the kid a shot. Fromm looked like a Freshman against UT. I think Eason should get some reps for sure.

But imo I trust Smart. Eason wont he job in the pre season and if he starts, it will be because he is the better option at QB. I mean, if Smart can't make that call, then he can't be a head coach. We have to lean on him in this one, we aren't there and don't know shite.

While I can't write Eason off, I haven't been wow'd by him. Yes, yes, he hasn't had but a few throws this season, but he did not look good in those few throws.

It's like Ramsey: he only had a few series' of work but he looked absolutely terrible when he was in the game. Is he as bad as he looked there? Of course not, but he did not take advantage of the snaps he got to get himself more snaps.

That's how I feel about Eason at this point. Fromm has taken advantage of his time behind center to prove he should get more time behind center. When Eason has been in the game, he has not made the most of his playing time. Some players only get a few plays to prove they deserve to be out there. Fromm lit it up as soon as he got into his first game and showed he deserved more snaps. Eason should be doing that with every chance he gets and he hasn't done that this season.

With that said, Eason's performance last season showed that he deserves a shot to show his improvement over a longer period of time, but it's concerning to me that he didn't ball out with the few attempts he has been given so far.

Surely Eason would have done well but those first few poor passes were what Eason used to do and clearly still does. That's just part of his game and it leads to more punts than we want to have.
