Why does this thread blame Gus for the route tree now? It is clearly Chip's. Compare this season to last or any other year under Gus.

Sometimes QB's are more comfortable with certain throws. So far this year JS has been picked twice in the middle of the field on intermediate throws. It isn't unusual for a QB to shy away from making those throws.

Based on everything mentioned above, it does appear we have more complex routes than in previous years. As posters have stated, there are a combination of factors:

Stidham shaking off rust, including not holding on so long and trusting teammates
Stidham and WRs working on chemistry/timing
WRs creating separation
Oline gelling
RB play/pass pro

I do think the last is a big reason why Gus and Chip are relying so heavily on KJ and KP even though they're not healthy. The younger guys might not be getting the pass pro aspect of the position.

You've been here since '14 and you don't have a AU SB scorecard?

Bad things are directly attributed to Gus or his meddling and if able, we connect them directly to the AD or boosters.

The good things are completely out of Gus's control. If the team is improving, it means Gus is out of the way. I'm not sure anyone is trying to credit Gus with improvement on the route trees. JS's INTs were clearly Gus meddling.
