How much of their (Fromm/Eason) issues with dropped balls has to do with their throwing style?
I think it's this. Eason's mechanics last year were terrible. Constantly throwing off the back foot and not setting his feet. He was just slinging it and had wobbly bullets that weren't always hitting the receivers in their bodies, leading to higher probabilities of drops. Fromm still guns it (not like Eason, obviously) but his are mostly hitting receivers in the chest. The deep balls have touch on them so those are a bit easier to grab.

Overall, I think Fromm should keep starting until he starts to struggle. Eason should be the release valve if the pressure gets to be too much for Fromm (I doubt that happens). Fromm has done everything he's been asked to do and he should keep playing while he's got the offense in a groove.

Agreed. As they say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Fromm has done everything his team and coaches have asked of him.

It's not necessarily a knock against Eason. It's that this is a team game. You don't choose starters because they won the job in summer practice. You choose starters because they give the team the best chance to win. In my (completely unqualified, of course) opinion, that seems to be Fromm until he proves otherwise.

There was one pass Sat that Fromm completed, but Eason would not have. IT was about a 10 yd pass to a crossing route at about the right hash. Fromm threw a touch pass and led the receiver to easily make the catch and maintain his stride. Eason would have thrown the ball through the receiver and, even if he could have caught it, he would have to take time to "recover from the catch" and then continue the play. Fromm gets that being a QB is all about connecting with the receiver, not showing off your arm strength.
