It's possible that they organized this whole thing themselves, but they seem to be as dumb as a box of rocks.

They didn't have to figure it out themselves because this isn't the first time something like it has happened. Alabama and several other schools had players doing something similar with textbooks back in 2006/2007. As another poster said, UGA had something similar a few years ago.

It could well be going on at other schools right now because until it is very difficult to catch until someone gets greedy and/or too many people start doing it.

Having too many people with a close relationship (football players) appearing to be the victim of a similar crime is almost certainly what got these guys caught.

I think UF has changed their policy slightly since I was in school, but I knew a few people with DUIs that were in my classes that had to serve a one-year suspension from class for a first offense. Not sure if that's common place or not. But hell, if a football player got a DUI, they got to stay.

I got in some trouble when I was in school. Charges sounded much worse than they were, but I was able to get everything taken care of in court and only had probation for a year (charges were expunged after completion). I was still suspended from school for a semester and placed on indefinite probation, which means I had to report to the judicial office of the school every few months for 2 years until they finally released me from probation. But yeah, I had friends from schools around the country that were suspended for DUIs and much less severe charges.

I understand the world we live in and athletes will always be given a longer leash than regular students, but there has to be a line drawn in the sand.

When will the 9 be kicked off the team? Or does Florida want thugs to keep playing for them?

Various forms of College Book scams have gone around for a while. The way they now do the books makes it worse for the scammers as now there are credit cards involved.

Tebow must not be the role model Joe Namath is.

And did they have too much air conditioning?

Well, on the bright side no Gators are charged with murder so far this season. It takes time and commitment to change the culture.

Questionable for sure

This "guy" is still kicking, should have his stars removed for being affiliated with UF!
