Wasn't LSU losing like 3-0 against a FCS? That's something that State didn't allow. LSU losing to FCS school. We can go down this road if you want

Most of those yards came in 2nd half against backups.
They wouldn't have scored as much as they did the first half had we not turned the ball over giving them close field position for a FG and a int returned to the 2 yd line where they punched it in for a TD

Last week LSU gave up 174 yards passing to MSU's 4th string QB from last season. Ponder that a moment.
On 32 attempts 5.4 ypp 2 INT 0 TD
I was actually impressed with him, tbh. The defense was mostly playing soft zone and he had good timing with his WRs.

23/42 with 1 TD and 2 ints, for 5.1 yds/pass against Jacksonville State, so playing the meaningless stat comparison game I'd say LSU's pass defense is on par with JSU.
Bottom line is it should be a good game and the first two weeks won't be any indicator of how this game will play out. Both teams will have to adjust early to SEC level competition. The team that makes the adjustment soonest likely wins in my opinion.

Comparing both teams games is like comparing two runny loose shites. All four teams are garbage. Truth is no one knows what they have...

I think 250 is the magic number we need to hit to win. You guys will stop the run early. It took Mullen a whole half to look to the pass instead of the run as the first option in 2015. He makes that adjustment after the first quarter instead of the 3rd and we win that game by double digits. QB still has to make the throws obviously.

Thanks for your honesty. I really thought BYU would be a good test for LSU to see where LSU is at. BYU being 1-2 and squeaking by Portland State, they are not very good.

La Tech created that early turnover though. They got pressure on Fitzgerald causing the overthrow and Amik made a great return on the Int.
No need to try to minimize a great play by La Tech.
It's like saying La Tech would have made it closer if it weren't for the 90 yd fumble return for a TD which was essentially a 14 pt swing, or the blocked punt resulting in a TD, or the crazy 87 yard fumble when they were about to score at the goal line.

Really 3-0? This is desperation at its best. Real talk though Chattanooga held their own on the lines so that is concerning. I think this state team is one of our toughest games on the schedule this year. Ppl laugh when I've said that but to me it's Bama then Lsu state and aubbie fighting for #2. Mullen finally got him a Defensive cord. Things looking up in starkvegas. Defensive battle. Lsu wins 23-20

Miss St fans, Id like to hear what some of you think is the weak link on your team besides kicking.

Where does that road go Maine?

Real talk, I like Mullen just as much as anybody else but one thing that bothers the shite out of me is slow starts aka game preparation. I seen that so many times. Come out if the gates slow and trying to play catch up. State wins the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters but that 1st qtr though. If we come out of the gate like that, State will lose.

We've got a RS freshman at right tackle who needs to improve. Fitzgerald has made a couple of poor throws in each of the first two games. Didn't hurt him against CS because they didn't have the personnel to make the plays, but he needs to be smarter with the ball.

And Nick Saban was the coach at LSU and lost to UAB that one time too. Has nothing to do with 2017.

If he does I expect to see Mullen give him some help with one of the big TEs.

You know they got those yards in the 4th, come on. They scored 2 touchdowns in the game and one was against walk-ons and huggers.
