Auburn fans have been fooled by the Deshaun Watson is leaving so their new qb must suck narrative. Just because the Auburn staff has been shite at recruiting and developing qbs ever since Cam doesnt mean Clemson will be doing the same

You lost nearly all of your offensive production from that game.

Lost your GOAT QB, which you will come to find out is painful to replace, especially with a mediocre at best passer.

Almost all your offensive damage was from Watson to Mike Williams

Watson had 248 passing yards 1 TD, 1 INT
Of that, Williams had 9 receptions for 174 yards
Second was Artavis Scott with 3 receptions for 30 yards

That's 82% of your passing production, gone to the NFL. Williams killed us, and Scott was also obviously very talented. I'm glad we don't have to play them this year.

Sure you got McCloud, Cain, and Renfrow (who caught the TD), but they did not stand out at all vs Auburn's secondary. Average to the point of almost being invisible.

With a much worse passer this year, a HUGE drop off at #1 from Williams to Cain, and the rest of your WR corps being the undersized lollipop guild... I don't think we are going to have to worry about the pass game too much.

Auburn's secondary is the easily the best that Clemson will face all season. You won't fare well. Expect 50% completion, less than 150 yards, and 2 INTs (maybe 3)


144 of 151 of your rushing yards from the game last season are also gone in Gallman and Watson.
You've got solid replacements, but nobody that is going topic the team on his back and win for y'all

Auburn's rush defense is fierce. You won't fare too well there either.


Meanwhile Aubutn returns nearly everybody from a team that beat ourselves against Clemson last season, only with major upgrades on offense. We have a better QB, and you guys will be the ones playing musical chairs at QB this year (see how well that worked for us last year). Y'all didn't have to face Pettway last season, and could barely contain Kerryon Johnson as the lone threat. Pettway, Johnson, and Martin could all go for 100 yards on y'all. Plus big time upgrades at pass catchers.






TL;DR

Clemson lost too much. Auburn is much better. Clemson is arrogant and it will bite you in the arse. Clemson is fricked.
