why do you think that? The NFL could give a rats arse about a player receiving impermissible benefits in college.

Correct. But Leo's situation is a bit unique and gives you an idea about his character.

NFL GM's put a good bit of stock into their potential employee's character.(with the exception of the Browns)

He'll still play in the league(pending him reaching his potential) and get paid. But it's doubtful that he'll be a program changing linebacker and NFL management will pick someone else if they have equal talent.

Look at how far Tunsil fell in the draft. It costed him millions.

That a poor high school kid would take money from a booster? There have been PLENTY of college players lose their eligibility over impermissible benefits and still be drafted . shite Eric Dickerson got a trans-am from A&M, went to SMU, lied about it, and still went #2 overall. Unless GMs are worried about the kid breaking the law off the field, they really don't care about them receiving money in or before college. Regardless, Lewis is being painted more as a victim in all of this. At the end of the day, if he can play, he will be fine

Tunsil fell in the draft because he had a picture leak of him wearing a bong mask, not because his family was paid by his college coaching staff. And he fell....all the way to the #13 overall pick

If he was a senior coming into the draft next spring, I could see it raising character concerns and dropping him some.

He isn't a senior, he's a RS sophomore so the only way he comes out in the 2018 draft is if he has a massive 2017. If that happens, character issues will be overlooked. If he stays until 2019 or 2020 and keeps his nose clean, then all this will be forgotten.
