I'm pretty much done with preseason QB hype at AU. I have seen this before and for the most part it ain't pretty. As far as I am concerned, all the QBs at AU should not even have names on their jerseys until after the Clemson game.

Gus Malzahn doesn't develop QBs at all. So if they have a good QB, they better hope that guy doesn't need to progress while he is at Auburn. He better already be at his ceiling. Or, if not, you get premature Heisman campaigns and shite down there and their QB falls flat on his face.
Because Malzahn is all gimmick. He isn't a very good coach.

Why is this Gus' job? He's the head coach.

Hey man, he can run his program how he sees fit. I just think it's stupid as hell to not allow your QBs to work with QB coaches.
Who was the last guy you guys thought was gonna set the world on fire but ended up being shitty instead?

That has changed as of this last year. QBs have been working with outside QB coaches. I guess you could argue that a good coach can see when they need to change their ways.

There is no question in my mind that Stidham will become a superstar at Auburn. As an individual QB, he's probably in the top 5 on any campus in the country right now. There is very little he cannot do. He's smart, accurate, good velocity, good touch, good scrambler.
They will be dangerous with him at the trigger.

I would be surprised if Auburn isn't strong this season. The defense, running game and kicking game are pretty close to sure things. Stidham looked good in the spring game too for whatever that's worth. My only concern is Malzahn. He's at his best running a simplistic offense that features a legitimate running threat at qb. Stidham looks like the real deal but he doesn't seem to fit the mold that has given Malzahn the most success.

How many dumbfricks said the same last year?

It was just the Spring game, but that's what stood out to me. He was fitting the ball into some tight windows. He is very accurate on the deep ball too. That opens up Gus' O in a huge way when you have a QB that is a deep threat.

Gus needed a sex scandal at Baylor to finally land a QB
Did I miss the sex scandals at Blinn and Garden City JCs?

Why is it so hard for some people to use proper tense on something that is so utterly simple and basic? The 'I'lll' I'll assume is a typo but the 'worse' is like completely uneducated or iq of 70 stuff.
Use worse when comparing two items , example Burts best vs Gus's worse season. But thanks for the Ark english class.

That gimmick ran through that Hog D like Bert through a buffet line last season.
This board is apoplectic that Auburn got a great QB and it's going to be glorious to watch us wreck shite and watch this board melt.

Lol were you able to scroll down far enough to find Mizzou on said FPI list?

quote:5 quarterbacks, actually.
Auburn nearly beat Clemson last season playing with 3 QBs with the worst offensive game plan in major college football history.
Well, 5 different players took a snap...
So frustrating from the stands. The boo birds were definitely out that night.

quote:Good enough to win 3 out of the last 4 against Arkansas, while completely dominating in the 3 wins. Auburn has named the score against Arkansas the last 4 years. And it took 4 overtimes for Arkansas to get their one win.
He isn't a very good coach.
I don't think Gus Malzahn is a great coach by any means, but we all know you're shitting over him because you're jealous of what he's done thus far while Bret Bielema has been stumbling around on the sideline like the fat frick he is.

He took a former Georgia DB and we won the SEC and went to the BCS NC game.
He took a 4th string QB from UF via Blinn CC, won the Heisman and the NC.
He failed with Jeremy Johnson, so you go me on that one.
