I suspect many posters on this board have some good stories. Lets hear them.

I'll start with the most recent for me. While staying at a hotel in Columbus, OH, I had a face to face with Hank Aaron. To make a long story short, I approached him in the lobby and shook his hand and put my hand on his shoulder. I told him, "Mr. Aaron, I loved watching you play and you always did things the right way. Real baseball fans know you are the true homerun king."

He looked me in the eye and said, "Thank you."

That still fricks me up.

Met Bubba Smith, "Hightower from police academy" at a airport in Salt Lake City 15 years ago. He was by himself waiting on a flight. Most down to earth man you'd ever meet. And massive, very big guy.

When I was a little kid, I trick or treated at Bert Jones's house. I didn't know who he was at the time as he had been retired for a few years and I was a Steelers fan. He was kinda surly when we came to the door.

Got to meet Roberto Alomar at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Skydome before a Blue Jays game. He was very nice and autographed my baseball and thanked my family for waiting until he was done with his meal.

Pissed next to Kerry Von Erick in men's room at a Days Inn in Arkansas.

Same thing with Delroy Lindo but it was an Applebee's in Alec and he's not an athlete.

Flew from Atlanta to DC with Herschel Walker the morning after he ripped the UGA administration for firing Dooley as AD a few days before.

Herschel sat in the row beside me and I watched him literally read the AJC article about his response to the Dooley firing. It was pretty surreal.

Not really by chance, but my dad being an MSU grad and not far behind Boo Ferriss, he took us to an event with Boo at our local church. Boo spoke but gave away a signed baseball from the Boston Red Sox greats. My brother won it in a drawing kind of deal. Carl Yaz and Ted Williams were the more notable; in addition to Boo.

I was drunk and ran smack into Kevin Garnett about 4 years ago on a street in DC. I said excuse me, then looked up and saw who it was. I told him I was a fan and he asked where I was from and slapped hands and said see ya. Nice guy.

Evan Engram was walking through the Circle after the Georgia game this year. He was happy as ever to sign autographs and take pics with everyone. Great attitude.

I hung out with Pork Chop Womack at the MS State-USM game last year. He's funny as hell and cool as the backside of a pillow.

I've met Ray Guy in passing, but I'm going to see him in a couple of weeks because he's agreed to sign some items for a cancer fundraiser. He's supposed to be a nice guy, too.

Guys are famous Arkansas athletes:

Saw Joe Johnson pull up to a club in downtown Little Rock in a Bentley.

Was at a urinal at a BBQ joint and Corliss Williamson walked up to the next one over. Was so excited I almost peed on my shoes.

Julius Erving is a customer of mine. Nice guy.

I sold Lou Williams a sidekick a few years ago after his lady destroyed his old one. Dropped the Centurion card down.

Ran into Bobby Bowden. I know he's not an athlete but he's a sports figure. He was speaking at a church that morning and he was having lunch afterwards. Naturally I had to say Hi and get a picture!

- Met Hank Aaron at a formal event he was guest of honor. Was surprised how small he was (relatively). About my size, but when I shook his hand, his hand was almost twice my size.
- Have seen/met Charles Barley too many times to remember. He frequents the 4-seasons buckhead bar during basketball season.
- Once saw a man walking towards me with a tattoo like Mike Tyson. That's what I was thinking until I realized it was Mike Tyson. Saw Floyd Mayerathrr shortly thereafter. Insofar as I could see him walking in the middle of his hangers on/entourage.
- was crammed into a crowded bar trying to get a drink leaning on Eli manning. The howling wolf in NOLA for reunion of the Cold. Cooper was there also, no sign of Peyton. I believe this was Eli's 2nd year at Ole Miss. not certain, but it was whem he was the le Miss.
