I'm excited & thank it's cool playing LSU & having an all-SEC championship series, but frick, I WISH WE HAD FAEDO!
Has Faedo ever pitched on 3 days rest? I know Manieri came out early and flat out said he wasn't going to pitch Poche or Lange on 3 days rest.
With Walker getting hurt and now apparently Peterson banged up as well and Hess needing rest from all the relief innings pitches, we are in real bad picking shape for game 1. It's only fair that you guy's don't pitch Faedo if it goes game 3.

LSU is a completely different team than when they played them early in he season.

Would really have rather played an out of conference foe, but if it had to be an SEC matchup, this is the one I think everyone would pick.
Florida has had great all around success in many sports, but there is no denying LSU is the king of SEC baseball.
Both teams want this for many reasons, so it has a lot more zing than the average conference matchup.

With the bad blood carrying over from football season and Florida having knocked our softball team out and given us hell on the baseball diamond the past few years, it really is a perfect conference rival match up. Playing Louisville or TCU would have been pretty blah IMO.
Baseball is also the one damn title it seems like Florida hasn't won yet, so I'd like to keep it off your platter for a little while longer.

I have deep ties to Gainesville with lots of FB friends. They have disappeared since Saturday.

LSU wants #7 more than Florida wants #1. Listen to the crowd tonight to see who wants it more.

Baseball is clearly a bigger deal to LSU.

Good thing crowds don't play the game...

Crowds do control the emotion of the game though. I wouldn't expect a Florida fan to understand that though since yal draw about 1500 at a home game.

I am excited to play Florida. They have a great program and some awesome pitchers. Both teams are playing awesome and the SEC champ thing is nice but the Natty is what you want in the end

bullshite, players control the emotion of the game and that of the crowd. Let's say it's a 0-0 game going into the 5th inning and then Florida knocks a grand slam...something tells me the LSU crowd is going to get a bit quieter. And I'm not even talking shite about LSU fans, take that same scenario only reverse it and our crowd is gonna take the emotional blow. Players dictate the tone of the game and the crowd feeds off of that, period.
