Or would they have preferred playing another team?

Honestly...

Not responding for anyone... but guessing it's a mixed bag. You want to win the trophy so whoever gives you the best chabce. They knew either OSU or LSU would be tough but at 56-4 fresh of a 13-1 drubbing of the co-champions of your own conference... I'm sure they would raher play LSU a team they won a series from.

I am, just because it's been a hell of a year between the two programs.

Between the local media for both teams take shots at each other, the AD's publicly taking shots, the animosity between the fans, the pregame incident in the football game, the fact that the football game turned into an instant classic, and both programs were co-SEC champs in baseball, it has turned into quite the dick measuring contest between the two schools.

I wouldn't want it any other way

I hate saying this but Florida probably has the most successful athletic department in the SEC. I see them in the SECCG, sweet sixteen, and CWS? Y'all can have McGarity back.

There's no probably about it. UF has the best AD from top to bottom.

They gave us McGarity because we gave them Muschamp, take it to the bank.

Not excited, but prefer to play a team we've already taken a series from than a team who only lost 4 games in the regular season that we haven't seen before.

I want us to win our first against the best program in college baseball. It just means more.

Oh, and settle this whole SEC co-champs business.

Totally agree with settling the co-champion bullshite. With Florida winning the regular season and LSU winning the tournament, it will be nice for that to be worked out in the championship. Never been an SEC chest-beater guy, but it's hard not to with this series looming.

Both teams played so early in the season each other so its going to be good to see who adjusted the best

I completely agree. Tensions between the two schools seem to be at an all time high which makes for good competition.I think this baseball series will definitely cause some vitriol from the local media of each school to bleed over into the football season as well.

They didn't, they tied with LSU as SEC Co-champions. LSU received a trophy as the regular season SEC champ and then a second trophy as the SEC tournament champion. Let's go win the 3rd trophy of the year: the national championship!

The winner of this series won't "settle" the co champs label. That part of the season is done, written in stone. What I AM worried bout for the gators is them thinking this team is the same team they beat during the regular season. I hope they go in with that mindset because they'll be in for a rude awakening. I, personally, want to win this one bc it will be our first in the new stadium so we can get that juju off of us. Secondly, to go 7 for 7 in World Series Finals would be extremely something.

Here's to a good, clean baseball series hopefully with little to no errors. I want the SEC brand of baseball to shine over the next 2-3 games with the whole country watching

Absolutely, Oregon State was a much more well rounded team capable of dropping ten plus runs immediately. Playing LSU is a gift, almost like having a strike a foot out of the zone called

My take. Florida has pitching but so does LSU. But LSU has better bats. I see LSU in a sweep but that's just me.

Unfortunately, for game 1, LSU really doesn't have pitching. Game 1 is massive advantage Florida. If Florida drops game 1 they are in a huge hole.

I would feel a lot better had we eliminated TCU in game 1 and had Faedo available to start. Our pitching staff can't make mistakes and we're gonna need our bats to wake up. We need Singer to get us a W game 1, that way if we go to game 3 we might at least have Faedo in relief (I wouldn't rule out him starting with a lower pitch count, though).

I'm excited & thank it's cool playing LSU & having an all-SEC championship series, but frick, I WISH WE HAD FAEDO!

Either way, hope it's a great series.
