I've always found the hostile nature part of the fun. As long as you're not like throwing things at people or blatantly cursing out kids and grandmas or shite like that. But the most fun I've had on trips are just the constant shite I take going to Tuscaloosa or Oxford. Makes it just mean more.

Mexican soccer fans have been chanting "OSAMA, OSAMA!!" at matches against the USA since the 9/11 attacks. They were recorded doing it as recently as 2015.

Why would this many Americans travel to Mexico to watch a fricking soccer match? When I see soccer on TV I turn the channel faster than when I see the WNBA is on. Great sport for kids until they are old enough to play real sports.

The further south you go the worse it gets. El Salvador and Columbia are frickin ruthless when it comes to soccer matches. In Eastern Europe they fire flares at each other from across the stadium and light shite on fire. In England its a good ol fashioned pipe or brick to the forehead.

Iron Bowl isn't like that brother. Bama and Auburn fans live together. We are co-workers, friends and even family. You can enjoy a game at either stadium without the fear of violence. You may occasionally see some drunk tards making a scene but you have that everywhere.
