It could be worse.
This is the American away supporters before the USA-Mexico game.... with a fence and a 100 man security force around them for safety. Protecting them from the 99,000 home fans.

They do this all over the world
For rivalry matches in England the cops will escort the away fans to and from the stadium from the train station

Mexican soccer fans are animals. There is an irony that many of the same folks who boo our anthem and would beat to death our fans receive payments from their illegal alien relatives in the United States, the country which they hate so much.

Used to be able to. They've downsized a few times. Currently listed as 87,000, but I think they can get something like 104000 in there as of now.
