Yeah, thread is confusing. Lot's of great places to live in the SEC states. If you had to choose to live in the vicinity of each college town? Seems like Nashville stands above the rest.
Not sure why, but the Pac12 seems to have more of their schools near major metro areas, the other conference a bit less so (not sure what the historical reasons are for that.) So if you have to have your independent metropolitan areas, the Pac12 may cater to you more.
Every college town has enough culture for anyone.
