Went 23-40 last year and threw 2 interceptions against our horrific secondary. Real world beater.

So who's on the short list to replace him. Was gonna be tough to follow Tanner but as an outsider he's been worse than Smoke (who followed Skip).

Is there serious chatter about him being gone? I live in South Carolina and all my Gamecock friends believe he is done

We went from 2 titles and a CWS runner-up to a guy that routinely gets beat by Clemson, gets us beat by 15+ at least once a year, gives us a 5 series losing streak in the SEC (it's now up to 7), our first home series loss vs UK since 1999, and in 2015 (I think it was) we missed the NCAA tournament entirely for the first time since 1999.

I'm not saying USC should keep Holbrook or am I saying he's the next Tanner, but to be fair - what Tanner did the 3 years prior to his moving to AD can't be expected to be duplicated by anyone - it was an amazing 3-year run predicated upon a couple back-to-back great recruiting classes.
The 5 years prior to winning the first - they failed to get to Omaha.
Again - not saying USC should keep or not keep Holbrook, but many fans in the SEC have completely unrealistic expectations.
