Overall: Nice stadium but it's not like you feel like it's any nicer than Turner.
The Battery cool but honestly I have not done much exploration.
I can't quite put my finger on why I don't like the chop house as much but I don't like it as much.
The whole memorabilia/HOF section is really cool. So is the Terrapin taproom / Fox Brothers thing...but it's kind of lame you have to scan your ticket to get back in and out.
Also pro tip: Use Lyft not Uber while leaving the stadium. Lyft does not have to stay in that stupid long arse queue.

Mine is the fact that the cooler/electronic unit things look like commercial A/C units. They gotta paint them or something this offseason.

Had Delta Club Tix last night which was my first game at STP. Great venue although it doesn't have the home field vibe just yet. Definitely smaller than The Ted, but that can be a good thing. All and all, I think it is a huge upgrade mainly because of the new surroundings and no ghetto.

We sat in the Chop House reserved seats during the Mets series. The seats and view were great, but I have several issues with it...
1) Service sucks. One of the women in our group went up to the main area after we had been waiting a while for our beer and noticed that a lot of the servers were just standing around mingling. Apparently they focus more on the people that are up in the main area. Regardless, they were slow and terrible.
2) It's hard to move around in the row. You end up pushing around all the seats to make a path to get out of there.
3) The chilled cup holders actually produce a lot of heat in the area where your legs are. Each unit is basically a powered cooling machine. It was a nice evening when we went, but when it gets hot out there this summer I can't imagine that will fill good. Also, my wife's cupholder was full of water from a faulty unit, I'm guessing.

they need a MARTA train to the stadium

That's a great idea. I can't believe Cobb and Atlanta haven't thought about building a Marta line out there after all of these years. Seeing how fast they repaired that bridge, I'm sure we could get something built by the start of next season.

Oh they've thought about it, but Cobb politicos don't want it.

Sorry, I thought my sarcasm was clear but I guess it wasn't

If you take MARTA it's a 1 mile walk to the stadium. Not bad for good weather days.

Keep in mind that's from a MARTA bus stop, not a rail station.

I loved the park. The battery looks awesome and when rocky patel lounge opens it will be even better

Got a chance to go to the game yesterday with my buddy and his girlfriend. I ended up finding some good seats in the 200's for $20 each on stubhub instead of $49 via ticketmaster/the braves. I bought parking for 43, but based on the map posted earlier, it seems more like it was 42 we ended up in. Either way, it was stupid easy for us to get in and and out and we were back on 285 headed home easier than I've ever left a sporting event in my life. Thanks for parking tips, I really appreciate it!
I didn't get a chance to see the battery or anything really, which kinda sucked but no biggy. I wandered around the park a bit before the game, and there's always next time. We got stuck in a little traffic on the way from Birmingham and then my buddy forgot a knife in his pocket at the metal detectors and had to walk back to the car to drop it off which killed a lot of time to just screw around. The stadium is gorgeous though, I really liked it.
Things I learned and would recommend to others that haven't been: Day games: 1st base side is definitely where you want to be. We were finally out of the sun around 2:30. If you can get seats in the 100's, do it about 10 rows back and you'll be shaded no matter what from the 200's deck.

Definitely, it's a 1 mile walk right now.

You mean to the Bus Hub by the Mall? Because the closest train station is much farther.
You can take the Cobb Express bus from Arts Center to Akers Mill/Galleria and its not too bad a walk. I basically make that walk every game from my office over the bridge.

Where do you buy tickets for the red parking deck?

Appreciate it man. Couldn't find that page for shite haha

Do you have to reserve seats in the Chop House or can you get in with any other ticket like at the Ted?
Posted on 6/17/17 at 7:55 pm to Red&Black
So chophouse itself is first come first serve.
The seats below the chophouse are assigned with a ticket.

The Chophouse Reserved seats were pretty underwhelming.
Actually, the seats themselves were great, and the way it is built allows you to stand at those tables without obstructing the view of the people behind you, which is nice. But the menu is pretty terrible and overpriced (as in, you can go elsewhere in the stadium, buy something exactly the same or better for cheaper), and the service was godawful. After waiting and waiting for a server to bring an appetizer, we decided to walk somewhere else to grab food and bring it back, which kinda sucks since you pay a premium for the service aspect of those seats.
