Can someone explain the Publix live? I've never understood it. Almost everything costs more. Surely it's not just the Boar's Head?
Not everything costs more, plus Publix typically has some really good bogo deals (plus, if you only want one of a bogo, you get it for half price - they don't force you to buy two). Their produce and meat departments also are magnitudes better than Kroger.

When I was in Auburn I always went to the Kroger at Glenn and Dean. I had a professor (don't remember which one now, may have been Dr. Carr) that called it the country club for college students. You even got your own membership card.

I can only speak for Auburn, but nearly everything at Publix cost more than Kroger. It honestly is ridiculous just how expensive Publix is vs Kroger (think 15-20% across the board)

Kroger has the same policy in Auburn. If it is 3/$5.00 or BOGO, you can just buy individual units at the discount price

Ya and you pay a ton for it too. Publix chicken breast is $4.99/lb compared to the butcher shop hand trimmed $2.99/lb at Kroger
