Is there anyone that can rise up and rival Finebaum as the 'SEC Expert'?

Anyone else on the horizon? Who elected Pawwwl to be our spokesperson?
Is Tebow interesting enough to pursue this after baseball?

I'll take Tebow all day, everyday over Finebaum.

We're looking at you, Greg McElroy.

I think McElroy could do a good job based on what I have seen of him so far.

I've always liked McElroy as an analyst/commentator as well.

He's the best up and coming in-game sports broadcaster. He's gotten better and better at it since he started. He's also great with being a sports analyst/commentator imo. I already like him more than Finebaum, and he actually shows less bias toward Bama than Paul. Which is odd.

Tebow is good but McElroy is the best on SECN in my opinion. Dude seems "Ivy League" type smart.
Finebaum has that cockiness like he is the smartest in the room, Bill O'Reilly type ego but a real pot stirrer to boot.

I'd take Daffy Duck speaking Russian ahead of Fartbaum.

Not going to happen. Finebaum has his niche. He has cornered the market with caller interaction. The talking heads have historically let their egos and their self anointed expert status get in the way of the common fan. At least he gives the callers a voice.

Actually it is all on you and your friends from west Alabama that made Pawww. He sat in Birmingham and stirred shite for years on a 2 bit radio station. Wished you Baws would have kept him there but noo, now he is in Charlotte and his shite is the dumb arse face of the SEC.

you must not have been around when Bama sucked and Auburn was winning

One day, Finebaum's listeners will realize that he really doesn't know anything about college football and he can only speak about things at a 20,000 foot level (Coaching changes, etc.) Even then, all he does is hedge his bets.
Hate that Finebaum is the face of the SEC Network.

I choose not to listen to a single thing that guy says. Idk what makes him the "expert".
I would gladly have Tebow or McElroy over that chump any day.

PAWWL was Alabama biggest critic would absolutely flame callers back in the day. I have listened to a few of those Southern Louisiana call in sports shows. So let's not act like you guys are some well mannered aristocrats down in those parts.

Finebaum as the 'SEC Expert'?
The words "expert" and "Finebaum" cannot accurately be placed in the same sentence unless the expert is testifying in court during a trial in which Finebaum is accused of some weird crime.

ESPN appointed him, but only because of his popularity with the brain-dead people of Alabama who gave him his base audience.

He'd be a vast improvement, obviously. He certainly knows more and as for being "interesting", how could one not be more interesting than Finebaum? Since when is trotting out the same shite-stirring schtick day after day after day after day after day like Finebaum in any way interesting?
The day they can Finebaum will be the day I start watching the SEC Network for more than just live game broadcasts.

Guys like McElroy are in a completely different profession than Finebaum. Finebaum is not a sports analyst or really even a sports commentator. He is a sports pop culture/sports politics guy who knows little about X's and O's. He's unwatchable to me. Unfortunately it's these kinds of guys that seem to have broad appeal today. You see it on ESPN's main programming now too. Guys who break down film, players, lineups, game plans, etc play second fiddle now.

Finebaum is awful. There are numerous people that could take his place and do better.

About 90% of the sports-viewing public knows more about football than that dweeb.
