Tebow is good but McElroy is the best on SECN in my opinion. Dude seems "Ivy League" type smart.

You do know that he was a Rhodes scholar finalist during his senior year at Alabama. GMac is one smart dude and a helluva analyst. He's so objective/non biased he caught some flack for it when he was just starting in the business. Many Bama fans felt he was going out of his way to be almost slightly anti-Bama to show no favoritism. He probably was just a little overly conscious of it but with a little seasoning now, he's settled in to an admirably objective groove and just does his job very well.

If ESPN had any class, but they use Paul to fuel every SEC stereotype to the rest of the country. All in the name of ratings and giving the other conferences a way to sleep at night after some SEC team beats them.

I've listened to Greg on Satellite radio ever since he signed with them. Outside of the now big time Clemson Homer Mark Packer, Greg is the best on the channel. IMHO, Greg is a much, much better X & O's guy than Pack, but Pack knows the southern football culture better than anyone else....

The Finebaum show isn't targeted to smart sports fans. It's targeted to insecure people who just want to laugh at dumb staged callers. That's why so many northerners call into the show.

Would GMac take Tammy, Legend, and Darrel from Pawl?

I think McElroy is pretty good.

I was listening to sportstalk show yesterday morning during my commute and they had him on giving his mock draft predictions. It was rather cringeworthy.

Re the "few of those Southern La. call in sports shows" comments: those are all local shows produced for local viewers. Finebaum is supposed to be representing the entire SEC through a nation wide cable network. Huge difference in the audiences. As for giving his callers a voice: earlier in the week he let one of his regular callers, a bama fan, go figure, go off on his foot fetish while Laura Rutledge was sitting there, frozen & Finebaum sat there with his silly dumb smile on his face. A foot fetish discussion as expressed by one of his callers. This is what the SECN has sunk to.

Yeah, but come on, that was funny. The look on her face alone and then the conversation afterwards with her and the guy ... it was funny radio and even better TV, for a sports show.
