If he'd gone to UCONN instead of Florida he would have turned out differently. Would almost certainly still be alive

Florida fans themselves have nothing to feel bad about. They had nothing to do with Hernandez
However, UF admins and Urban likely lose sleep at night. They had an opportunity when this shite was getting started to help Hernandez by actually sending him somewhere to deal with his issues. Instead, they swept it under the rug for the sake of football.

I think he is a piece of shite, but calling him a coward implies that other people who commit suicide are cowards, which is simply not true.
Wrong
He's a coward because he took his life to avoid justice.
This isn't true for the vast majority of people who commit suicide. Most of those people are escaping something that isn't their fault.

Urban Meyer and the rest of the UF leadership failed a lot of people

1) I don't believe you have a crystal ball. So your assertion is poop. He could have been killed by a bus crossing the street in CT for all you know. Making definitive comments about which you have no way of knowing is goofy.
2) His posse was in CT where he was from. He would have had greater access to them and likely found more trouble. Make sense.

Hernandez was a totally selfish, arrogant lowlife who acted like a hardcore thug as his way of compensating for what a truly pathetic person he was
But Urban Meyer said that Hernandez regularly attended prayer services at his home. Seemed like a good baw. Wouldn't never do nuffin.

I agree, but don't read up on what the Patriots did to get this guy. It may change peoples view of Belichik and the Pats

I said that he would almost certainly be alive. If he went to UCONN, what are the chances he'd have been killed in an accident? The same as anyone else--very, very low. So yeah, he almost certainly would not have died accidentally as you described would be possible.
quote:You believe he almost certainly would have committed murder, wound up in prison, and killed himself? You just said I don't have a crystal ball (true), but now you're making a claim that is actually much more extraordinary than the one I did.

You're on the wrong side of probability.

I still don't think he really did it. And I think rival gang members caught wind that the lawyer was going to try and get him acquitted for the other murder.
This.
Seems like a hit to me. He looked happy when he was acquitted of the double murder and his lawyer was likely going to appeal the original conviction.

I see that you believe being closer to his negative influences/posse would have been better for him.
No big deal. We'll just disagree. Love to use your crystal ball one day though. I have some horse races for which I would like to preview the results.

Yea, even his lawyer said if he was hired he was pretty sure he could get him out. Maybe a member of the family of deceased knows someone inside and put out the hit. I mean anything is possible. I just don't see him doing it after blowing kisses to his daughter and seemed happy. Unless after the lawyer said all of that he got some different information. Bad situation no matter the cause.

Oh yeah, you're a part of the no personal accountability corps. I keep forgetting.
