Buried with a clean record since he still had appeals pending-- Massachusetts has an interesting legal system.

bullshite, anyone that commits suicide is a coward

Period

I still don't get why Robin Williams is idolized, Cuz he was a fricking coward

This situation is sad on so many levels

1, this gut had every opportunity to turn things around and be a positive force for so many

He may well have been murdered, we will probably never know

But he was a star player at a top notch school and made it to the NFL

What a waste

Responses are certainly revealing.

Sad situation all the way around. Excuse me for not celebrating and piling on.

Wanna hear an interesting twist on it? Because he offed himself right after the acquittal of those charges and because his other conviction was being appealed, due to some quirk in the law, the victims families can not sue his estate in civil court for damages. The money he made will stay with his family now because he killed himself. That's what I heard anyway. Maybe that could explain why he did it to some degree

So, he kills himself the very day the Pats visit the white house celebrating the SB win....

MAGA!

Dang, this is terrible. Dude offed several folks and then takes his own life. Sad for all involved.

His little girl is on my mind as are the victim's relatives... Prayers for them all!

I would rather die than spend life in prison. I'd do the same thing in his position. And I thank him for saving taxpayer money that would've been spent prolonging his life.

Damn, lots of people ITT with ridiculously uninformed and cruel ideas about suicide. Loving Christians I assume.

This is often true but not always. Examples:

Terminal illness and doesn't want to put family through the drama and cost.

Financial distress and has life insurance the family can live on (making it not look like suicide).

Horribly abused and no end in sight. Damaged mentally.

Loss of an only child and feels like at fault.

Many more. Walk a mile in the shoes.

yes they can, they just can't use his conviction against him because his charge was vacated due to the appeal. they can still sue for damages just like OJ was sued for wrongful death (successfully) even after he was acquitted.
