Jimbo didn’t have a chance with Brown, as soon as Sumlin was fired he was as good as gone, and even says so in this article. There was talk that if we kept Price then he was still on board, but that all it seems to be, was talk and wishful thinking.

I'm sorry but that's a load of crap. Every single Aggie board was jerking off over how Jimbo was going to instantly make our recruiting better, would steal away several recruits, and would shoot us up into the top 10 and possibly top 5 this year.

Now everyone is backtracking looking to blame the early signing period, the lack of a DC (how this is not on Jimbo I have no idea), and even Sumlin (ignoring his recruiting legs were completely cut out from under him the moment Buzbee vomited his crying arse diarrhea all over the internet).

You guys keep trying to have it both ways and it's weak sauce. Dude is a national title winning coach who is getting paid $75 million. Sorry but under those terms he doesn't get to have such weak excuses. Those excuses wouldn't have flown under Sumlin so they sure as shite shouldn't fly with Jimbo.

This is the first year we have ever had the early signing period. No one knew what it was going to be like. A lot of coaches and fans thought it will be the time where promising three star players signed to secure their spot on the team. It clearly wasn’t.

Jimbo did fine and should be poised to have a good February with the names still out there.

Oh and Jimbo managed to flip two players at critical needed positions in 2 weeks, one of which being Tight End. Sumlin couldn’t even get a TE.

Jimbo failed to close on a handful of elite recruits when he’s been on the job 3 weeks. It stinks, but oh well. Now losing Brian is a little tough to swallow. He’s not an EE I don’t think so I don’t get why he was in a hurry to sign. I feel like the pressure from Bama & UGA forced some kids hands. I’ll reserve my judgement until we get a final class in Feb.

So Buzbee blew a 44-10 lead with 18 minutes left?

I have no problem with Buzbee. I think his brash cocky style is good for our image in a weird way .

Having said that, he was definitely out of line when he called for Sumlin's head publicly. You support your team and it's staff until the end.

No he did not but going online to shite post like that was stupid to the Nth degree and it did hurt us with recruiting. It was a terrible look for the school, made our admin look like idiots, and made it easy as hell to negatively recruit against us. That kind of crap should ALWAYS stay in house. I don't care if the odds are the coach will be let go. I was pissed as hell after that game and melted too. But I'm also not an official rep of the school posting with my real name like a total dumb arse. That crap hurt us and if you can't admit that I don't know what else to tell you.

I hate when people who represent my school make us look like idiots. He could be a super nice guy. But that doesn't mean much to me if he's going to pop off like a total fool the way he did while still on the board repping the school. Once he is off the board and little more than a booster? shite post away. While he reps A&M? STFU and keep it close to the vest. You want to win like Bama? Act like Bama and don't freak out like a high schooler who didn't get the right kind of car on their 16th birthday.

What’s done is done. I can’t stand the pumping... and nothing is for certain until there is ink on the paper ... and then you might have some shithead lawyer trying to get their client out of the deal.

But I’m going to hope we get a flip or two. After that ... he’s got a year to get a great class put together. If he can’t do that ... while putting together a great recruiting staff... then A&M needs to see how to change its perception both inside the state and nationally. I say that because it’s proof positive that man can recruit.

A&M does have a series negative perception in the state. Nearly ever person I know feels the need to tell me that A&M will never compete in the SEC and that it was a mistake to leave the XII. I always point out that the past six years under Sumlin were much better than the previous six, all while playing the SEC. Then I talk about how wildly successful the entire athletic program has been in the league, and how we are second in overall championships since we joined. They always answer by repeating that we will never win in the SEC.

There is a serious negative perception out there that Jimbo must overcome. I hope he realizes this and has a plan to overcome it.

I am also starting to believe that the reason A&M has to pay so much for a quality coach is because we have a reputation in the coaching circles as being a place where it is very hard to win, despite having the best of everything. Jimbo may be up for the challenge, but if he fails then it will be obvious that we are destined for a future that is similar to our past.

I don’t know if anyone saw the Allen - LT game. But the sophomore who stepped into the game as QB when their Ohio State bound QB got hurt ... has an offer from us. He started all year at WR. He played a great game against Allen. Ryan Tannehill clone.

You might be onto something. I love our traditions... but if we want to win... it maybe time to reassess a few. Let’s hope he recruits lights out...so we don’t have to go there ... not that we would anyway.

I'm certainly not one to blame our traditions, but since we've lost Bonfire our traditions have garnered us a negative stereotype. shite like the "skyrocket" Yell does indeed have to go.

I love us being in he SEC, and I feel that we should have been here all along. We have quickly adjusted culturally as a university, and fit perfectly.

The negative perception I speak of is not what I see when I visit other SEC schools, it's what I see in every day life in Texas. That is where the negative perception lies - at home. And it is why I feel it is such a problem.

Jason Cook seemed to have a handle on this, but since he's been gone I've noticed a huge downward spiral in our marketing. It sure would be nice to have someone like him controlling our narrative in the local media.

I guarantee that exactly zero recruits who aren’t legacy Ags have any idea what this is or care. This only pisses off old Ags.
