I'm in opposite camp. Kids are already penalized by having to sit out a year for transferring. I don't see an argument for a coach to be able to restrict a player for more than a year of playing in amateur sports


I'm not opposed to having blocks for grad transfer to scheduled opponents etc though

I tend to agree with this. When coaches can pack up and leave at any time I don't think it's a problem to let kids transfer wherever they wanna go as long as there is that one year penalty

As for grad transfers I am a little more ok with teams blocking a kid from going to a team on your schedule since he can play right away.
