1930 NCAA Basketball Champions
I don't know where you get your info, and I really don't mean any offense, but there was no 1930 NCAA basketball champion. The first NCAA tournament was in 1939, one year after the NIT began. The NIT was the more prestigious title for almost 20 years.

Penn State got their 2nd MNC and has not been back since. You act like this is a big deal.
SEC (current and former) with more MNC's than Taters
16 Alabama
6 Tennessee
5 Georgia
4 Georgia Tech (3 were when they were in the SEC)
3 Florida
3 LSU
3 Ole Miss (granted they were back in segregation times)
3 Texas A&M (granted they were pre SEC and may be questionable)
Auburn got to 2 MNC's before Taters did
ACC (current members plus Notre Dame) with more MNC's than Taters and last year won
11 Notre Dame / 1988
9 Pittsburgh / 1976
5 Miami / 2001
4 Georgia Tech / 1990
3 Florida State / 2013
Congrats on your win and all, but getting to just two is not the same as getting to more than 2.

It's not ok for A&M to dick ride Alabama or anyone else for that matter but LSU is in the clear when dick riding Clemson.

Obviously, this was prior to the beginning of the NIT and NCAA tournaments, however, the top team of the year in that era was selected by consensus among sportswriters. In 1930, Alabama went 20-0 winning the Southern Conference (predecessor of the SEC and ACC) and being named the top team in the Premo-Porretta rankings. That same year, Pittsburgh (23-2) was selected in the Helms rankings. Since teams from different sections of the country rarely played one another and even played under significantly different rules in some cases, it is difficult to reach a consensus pick, but Alabama seems to have as good a claim as anyone to the title in 1930.
