I'm going to hold my breath for something more detailed. We all know the 25 per class and 85 limit. We also know some classes are over 25 with backcounting and greyshirting.

And I know that large signing classes enrolling in June have topped the 85 limit with the expectation that more attrition before fall classes were to process. It has been said over and over on recruiting sites that the number doesn't matter until fall classes start.

So that means you are doubling down or is this tripling? I've lost track but you have been making a fool of yourself.

Don't see it as doubling down. I know there is an 85 limit. I just contend that the 85 number matters in August. Not January, February, June, etc..

We will see.

So before Carter, you had not read about the 85 count being an issue prior to August? Same here.

To be fair, in previous years being under 85 had never been a problem so we never had much of a reason to talk about the rule.

I don't know where your coming up with your numbers. But a school is allowed 85 max athletes in scholarship in a year. Period!! If you don't graduate by the end of your 4th playing year if your eleigibilty, you pay for any additional school.

So in there is a UGA player who's done with his eligibility and doesn't graduate by end of spring then Summers on him.

Your whole argument is ridiculous , the by law clearly says no more than 85 , that's it there is no going over you just can't.

TC had an offer to EE, when the 4 jrs came back it put UGA in a spot, he had a scholly available for summer, with srs graduating, but not for spring.

No biggie. If a school in the country has more than 85 scholarship athletes on campus in January when the early enrollees report.... or more than 85 scholarship athletes on campus in June when the rest of the LOIs arrive, then I'm right.

No need to act like a 10 year old. This should be fairly simple to confirm.

You cannot have more than 85 players on scholarship, period. No if, ands, or buts. It doesn't matter what month. Give it a damn rest.

I thought June is when you have to be 85 unless things have changed. That's when freshman arrive and usually start some classes.

Early enrollees start in January and count towards the 85 scholarship limit.
