OM "fired" Dan Werner and Barney Farrar. Dave Womack "retired". Grant Heard and Chris Kiffin "left" for other programs. Batoon's time is almost here.
As of now, they look to have four assistants returning, two of those Nix and Harris were named in the initial notice of allegations.
LINK to see the massive "changes"
I don't think we will see anything until this recruiting class is over. Being watched.

wow. I kind of feel bad for Ole Miss fans. Some of them, anyway.

Boosters and a willing staff.

Ole Miss has lost some good assistants and recruiters in recent weeks. The company line of "well Kiffin and Grant had to leave b/c they didn't know if the new coordinators were going to keep them so they left for guaranteed jobs" doesn't cut it. Freeze is the HC and he hired an OC from SHSt. He could have told that guy "you've got to keep my WR coach. He's landed Treadwell, AJ Brown and others." and that new OC would have gladly said "yes sir". Same with Kiffin.
Coaches are leaving b/c they know what's coming and they are leaving before hand (or are getting fired for what's happened in some cases and OM is trying to win NCAA favor by saying "we've cleaned house of the bad apples").

Is anybody left for recruiting/giving out money?

or it's more like, "we have to let you go, here's a nice severance package for you not talking to the NCAA." IIRC, if they are no longer employed by an NCAA school, the cannot be forced to speak to the NCAA in their investigation. That's the way I see their huge turnover with their staff at least

It's not going to end well for them. No one on the current team will see a bowl game.

Maybe Saunders would have liked to have known that prior to getting hit with a Show Cause. 8 years....
or...
That's not really how it works.

wasn't Mike Saunders employed by ULL when he was hit with a show cause? I said NCAA school, not necessarily the school he's coaching at.
quote:
Ole Miss became linked to the investigation when NCAA enforcement staff interviewed Saunders on Dec. 16, 2013 about “events that took place while that assistant was employed” elsewhere, according to the Committee on Infractions’ report, which added a football player “that institution recruited” was also part of the interview.

He was still employed by ULL in 2013. The NCAA is not a court of law. They have no subpoena power to make someone talk if they are not employed by a school that is governed by NCAA by-laws

Grant Heard seems like a big deal, OM alumni and tied to the hip with Hugh.
Things must be about to be bad.

To be a co offensive coordinator to try to be a head coach one day. People are reading way too much into the NCAA and not enough into our stats from 2016 football season.

No.

"Dec 16th 2013, NCAA questioned Saunders about events while employed by Ole Miss"
Saunders was fired by ULL in 2014. In 2016, he got his Show Cause.
Ole Miss did not become LINKED to it due to Saunders while at ULL. The NCAA was at ULL due to Saunders times at Ole Miss.

That does not mean punishment can not be given due to that person not talking. In fact, Saunders did stop talking and they gave him one of the largest Show Causes ever given.

Clarion Ledger says taking the same position, but their sources have been wrong before?

And wide receivers coach Grant Heard is taking the same position at Indiana, according to a source.

You know I don't do that. Have I been wrong?

You know better.
It's coming soon, and Ole Miss is cleaning house to give the NCAA reasons to go lighter. They can't keep these people on and expect any favors.

But they can give the former employee a show cause and they can still punish the school for a former employee not talking.
