Is in such a unique, nothing-to-lose position here. If Coach O doesn't succeed, its the same old same old, I told you so which us LSU fans are more than used to anyway and we will have to do a serious re-build.

BUT, Just Maybe

If he gets these boys playing for him it is going to be such a fun ride busting all of your balls for letting Yaw Yaw Football/The Binder beat your arse and challenge the throne in the SEC.

I think more than a fair share of ranters realize how real of a possibly the latter is.

If Bama begins to regress I'm pretty sure it will be a matter of the natural progression of things and little to do with Orgeron or LSU for that matter.

Or the most likely scenario...

O turns LSU into Ole Miss and is fired in 2 years.

How about finishing the thought before you pile on another wrongness next time?

And yes O's team can do well next year. I expect it to be like Boom's career at Florida. Lots of success early (but not challenge Bama success), with a tapering off past that and a complete rebuild year four or so.

Yea, that was the first scenario I listed. I forgot you guys struggle with reading comprehension.

It is unique. It feels like a low-risk experiment. Because you know he will keep the cupboard stocked. I think over a three year window he substantially outperforms the Miles 2013-2015 window. Does he get this team over the hump, though? That's a much tougher question.

So, he's not going to do anything to improve S/C or Xs and Os. He's just going to get the boys playing for him. That's an excellent way to win the west.

To be fair, I haven't been privy to the binder yet, so I couldn't divulge details so I generalized.

This isn't back to the future. 2011 was 5 years ago. I hope you like 7-5 or 8-4 for at least the next 3 years.

O will win just enough on talent alone to keep LSU right in their miserable purgatory for about 8-10 more years.

What kind of offensive scheme does he want to operate with at LSU?

Truthfully we don't know yet. Hes on record saying he wants to "spread it out" more, but I honestly think hes going to be hands off once an OC is hired, so I really think its contingent on that hire.

I threw my hands up when he offered Tua and pissed off Brennan. We just need a guy with a good head on his shoulders who can make plays. I could careless whether its with his arms or his legs.
