Briles? Does decent enough for two years so that he can get another job in Texas. Recruits the wrong type of players for the SEC leaving LSU hurting for the next few years.

I've posted many times that OM fired coach O one year too soon. If they had kept him for year 4, he would still be there.

And H Nuttsack benefited from Os recruiting efforts, only to fizzle out due to his inept recruiting...

So he was suddenly going to turn it around after going 3-8, 4-8, and 3-9? He didn't even win an SEC game his last year. The West only had 2 ranked teams.

May be, may be not, but what I wonder is why LSU settled for a guy that hasn't had much success and was fired from the two head coaching jobs he already had.

You'd think that LSU should deserve more than that.

I certainly appreciate the optimism. That said, the optimism is not rooted in logic.

Orgeron is undeniably the worst coach in the modern era for Ole Miss...a bottom three SEC program in the modern era.

He has a losing career record as a head coach.

The OM coaches before and after him won 9 games in a season. He never had a winning record.

The method he used to get the job was to convince a penny-pinching dumbass AD that he WOULD NOT coach...he would let his coordinators do the coaching...he admits the validity of his reputation as being an inept coach.

He beat no team worth a shite while interim at USC or LSU.

At best, LSU is positioned to be a carousel for coordinators and assistants. This means no continuity. No continuity will result in losing highend recruits in close recruiting battles.

I could go on and on.

This will go down as one of the worst hires in SEC history. Hell, not one other SEC school would have hired him as HC at this point.

Good thing is, Johnny Jones will get Alleva fired in 2017 and the next AD may actually make a rational hire.

Who did Coach O lose to while coaching at Ole Miss? I can make a list from those, I suppose.

LSU will lose to Bama. They likely lose to UF and UT. It is probable they lose to one of OM and State. Auburn will be good and could beat LSU...though it'll be at home.

8-4 or 7-5 is likely.

LSU loses all defensive leadership and all but one of the best players on the defense.

The offense loses Pocic, LF7, Dural, Dupre and probably Harris (not that it matters).

LSU will be a less talented team with a tougher schedule.

By 2019 Ed Orgeron will be coaching at La Tech or Monroe or NW State

Once Alleva is fired , the new ADs first goal will be to hire a real head coach to lead LSU football.. Not a coach that was found mixed in with the 2 day old Ribeyes in the Manager's Special section at Kroger

Does anybody know if this Binder is a generic binder, or is it like a fancy Trapper-Keeper?

There is a Trapper Keeper Tiger poster on TigerDroppings... I wonder

But, it's most likely a Five Star binder.

A very fair assessment. And a more than likely outcome.

And LSU will still beat WAOM on the reg.

I think he certainly did. He put a beat down on all three. He did this with a staff he inherited and a TE coach calling the offense. Two of the three on the road to boot.

LSU "O" will be much more productive in the future.

All we heard last offseason was there will be growing pains on the defensive side of the ball with new DC and scheme. Don't have the personnel to run a 3-4. Any improvement will come in year two.

If that's the case can't wait to see what the '17 season brings.
