I'll even concede Herschel having the better RB career in college if we just all agree that Bo is the best and most freakish athlete ever to play college football
I'd say Herschel would have an argument there too. Especially if you look at the shape he's in today in his 50's.

A lot is made about Bo playing both professional football and baseball. But the fact is he was a mediocre at best baseball player, and his pro football stats are pretty pitiful.

Bo's image was built on "What if" and that's all.

Herschel
Bo

Everybody else.

You can make a strong, legit claim for Bo but to me the best RB was Herschel. Bo was the best athlete. Bo could have been a dam all american LB, WR, DB.
We had them both in the SEC at the same time in 82 and what a game the DSOR was that season.

BTW, Bo didn't score in that painting. Where you see him is where he came down.

Herschel did more in 3 years than Bo did in 4. Herschel by a wide margin.

You can drop the SEC part. Bo is and was the greatest running back of all time. Barry Sanders easily

bo was stronger, faster, and bigger than barry

barry had better side to side moves.

i'll take bo over barry on my team anytime.

Guice who had two carries for 8 yards against Bama?

Bo and Herschel are on another planet talent wise.

Comparing Guice to bo and Herschel simply doesn't work though. As much as I'd like to say Guice is better they play so different it's such a hard comparison . The way Guice runs is shifty and scrappy no and Herschel ran like fournette power downhill. Guice doesn't run like that and picks up bigger chunks in different ways. Guice does have to numbers to compare with BO and Herschel though which is scary to think of. Also he was 2nd string for the first couple game of the season if he was starting he would've blown Bo's numbers out of the water

And? Barry was never the biggest and/or strongest RB in the NFL. But he still was hands down the best during his 10 years. I know the topic is CFB but just because someone is bigger/stronger/ faster than another that doesn't make them a better player. Barry's field vison and elusiveness was a lot better than Bo's. And not to mention durability. Bo was a freak and a better over all athlete but Barry was the better RB.

everyone has their own opinion. I have always said that bo was by far the best running back that I have ever witnessed. in fact, if his career would have lasted 10-12 years, most people would be saying the same thing as me. unfortunately, it didn't
