20-28 - LSU's next HC record as a head coach.

You guys seriously want this guy?
Has he rallied the guys this year? It would seem so. But you must look at his track record in order to make a good determination. There's a lot more to it than just rallying the guys for the remainder of the season. He did the same at USC and wasn't given that job either. I know he's not certainly first on your list, but he shouldn't even be top 5 based on his past.
He's a career assistant and shouldn't be given the head coaching job -- just like Muschamp, but what do I know?

Orgeron will not be LSU's next HC.
I love the guy, and I'd rather eat at Ralph and Kacoo's with Coach O than Saban, Fisher, Herman, etc., but can he recruit with the likes of those aforementioned coaches? Can he beat Saban in his first three tries? First five?
It's my hope that we retain Coach O. I think he'd rather be the DL coach at LSU than the head coach of New Mexico State or North Texas.

I think he needs to do the HC gig at a school like New Mexico State or North Texas before becoming the HC at an SEC school again. JMO.

I agree but does he want to coach at New Mexico State or North Texas? I say no.
On the other hand, getting passed over may be prove too bitter a pill to swallow and may decide he doesn't want to be a DL coach anymore.
A part of me thinks he'll stay on as a DL coach here at LSU. I don't know the man, but if it was good enough for him in 2014, why not 2017?

Maybe money isn't an issue to him, but he was making what? 500k as the DL coach?
I would think any HC gig he would get will get him over a mil a year.
Obviously he wants to stay at LSU since you all would probably pay him 3 mil a year at least for the HC gig.
I just think it's a grave mistake. Learn from our mistakes.
