Who would that be? Petrino? He just got smoked by Houston. Speaking of Houston, they collapsed mid-season before coming back and beating an unprepared Louisville. So scratch Tom Herman and Petrino off the list.

Who else is there? I don't know of any proven coach that just excites me, at least not any that AU has any chance of landing. Urban Meyer? Nope. Harbaugh? Nope. They ain't leaving their schools. Art Briles? I'll pass. For one, the media would destroy us. For two, I am not so sure he would be any better than Gus anyway.

IMO, Gus just needs a QB. It's not rocket surgery here. Bammer probably isn't undefeated without Hurts. TAMU probably would have a lot more losses without Knight. Ole Siss wouldn't be what they've been the past two years offensively if not for Swag Kelly. Strange how good QB's make an offense go, isn't it?

Gus knows the league and he knows what it takes to win in the west. He even knows how to put up yards and points against bammer. He has brought in the best recruiting classes we've probably ever had over a 4 year span. He also has our defense on the right track, playing as well as they've played in close to a decade. Do we really want to go through yet another staff change?
