Sounds like they won't though.
In that case, I think you take all the training wheels off JF3 and see if he can make any case for the spot next year. I don't see how trotting out a banged up SW with nothing on the line is going to help.
If JF3 shows a spark, maybe that is good (it could also be bad if he temporarily shows signs of life and adds more confusion to next year).
If he doesn't, fine, put no stock in him being in the running next year and move on to WB and Stidham with White as the "I really hope one of these guys takes the job clearly" third option. And I like SW fwiw.

I can agree with this. Nothing to lose. We know SW is ineffective with his injury. Just go balls to the wall and let JF have an open playbook.
