They could probably win every single one of those years exclusively running the ball.
Definitely 2011. Maybe not 2010.
They'd demolish any team from a decade ago though

This is easily the least talented offense Bama has fielded in years.
Oh you started smoking crack I see

No, not so fast. A lot of games to be played before we even BEGIN the comparison to the 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2015 teams. This Bama team, like those who have won championships before, have to earn their right to be in that conversation. Could this be Saban's best team? It certainly could be. But right now, it's too early, and that title belongs to one of the teams listed in the second sentence above.

Well, there are those facts that back it up. That whipping you put on NC St scares me for sure.

2008 would have been fun, a collision course with Florida in the SEC title game.

Going to lmao when Auburn beats Bama and the SEC gets left out of the playoff

Going to laugh when Bama beats Clemson again? How disappointing that would be for Clemson fans

I've been paying attention for about the last 30 years.

and we continue to learn more about training (for football and strength sports) all the time.
These are called trends.

Point is, training is better and in turn players are further ahead physically.
How much? In your case it sounds like every player in college should be running sub 4.4 40's and benching 600 by now compared to 2000. How much better do you think it is? How many more guys today are running sub 4.5 40's and how many more reps on the bench? I don't know but it would have to be at least 2x by your paying attention right?
I can just make up shite and say guys back in the 80's were actually lifting more b/c they were roided up or find a couple of outliers to compare.

You can't tell me what I am seeing man. This is the best team I have seen here.

I actually think last year's team would match up with '95 Nebraska* better than'01 Miami. Football is like heavyweight fights. Style and matchups are huge. Last year's defensive front 7 would not be physically overwhelmed by a one-dimensional option attack with no threat of a passing game. You allow Nick to walk safeties down to help in run support and NU would have even tougher sledding. Was Tommy Frazier great? Absolutely. But the front of Reed and Robinson, with Reuben and Ragland at ILB would choke off the dive/inside run game. With no passing game and the middle stuffed, Frazier would be limited.
*I've posted on here I think'95 NU is the best team I have ever seen. But '15 Bama is built to stop what the Huskers did best. I think Bama would beat them 4-5/10 times. I think they'd win 2-3/10 against that Hurricane squad.

I'll take 2001 Miami any day. Bama would have no shot.

For sure. Actually I can think of a few teams that would beat 2016 Bama. 2004 USC for sure. 2011 LSU. 2008 Florida. 2011 Bama. 2014 Ohio St.

They never played a defense like Bama

2011 LSU has one of the most impressive resumes in college football history. I'm not sure what's laughable.
Posted on 11/8/16 at 6:52 pm to biglego
Well, they wouldn't cross the 20 for starters.
Posted on 11/8/16 at 6:59 pm to BlueIndian420
I think it would be a good game. Miami struggled with some teams that aren't as good as Bama that year.
The Tommy Frazier domination year is the one team I don't think Bama could match up with. You don't see an offense like that anymore and they were incredible. It's the only team I recall that would whip everyone. Every other team has been beatable.
Results vs. AP top 25: No. 2 Florida (W, 62-24), No. 7 Colorado (W, 44-21), No. 8 Kansas State (W, 49-25), No. 10 Kansas (W, 41-3).
